Current statistics show that 12% of the deaths in dogs are caused by heart diseases. This is the second largest problem in dogs, with cancer being first, according to this article at www.wabre.org. Diagnosing heart disease can be a perplexing problem as there are many types of cardiovascular problems. Some of these include congenital, which is often thought of as genetic, heart failure, and heart diseases.
